after an embarrassingly agonizing time spent realizing that Karabiner Elements has been why my keyboard dies during sleep all along, i flashed my keyboard’s QMK firmware to get VIA enabled and managed to get all the mac function keys working as expected. but not before buying a new keyboard lol
