got paged at 5am this morning because our Ruby 4 upgrade forced us onto a newer version of Debian that moved a bunch of timezone name aliases into a tzdata-legacy package that isn’t installed by default. so Rails just stopped recognizing names like Asia/Calcutta in our app’s on-call schedules
