really wish that more restaurants would just have websites instead of announcing everything on instagram. i don’t want to be on any meta platform but that’s literally the only place that restaurants post.

@davidcelis Agree! seriously, it's so easy to create a website, and you're just talking about a few images and menus, right??
@acm_redfox well many also need a way to announce specials or pop ups, so a static website on its own wouldn’t be enough. i just wish Instagram/Meta wasn’t the platform that they all collectively decided to use
@davidcelis Early in the pandemic I tried to support local restaurants with take out orders and created a bookmark folder for every restaurant with a website. A year later many of them just routed to a “URL for sale page” or worse, yet the restaurants still existed. A shame.
