This new law is good. Cars parked up against an intersection obscure pedestrians until it’s too late, and drivers simply don’t look. Drivers in CA killed over 7000 people in 2023. This law will literally save lives but won’t someone think of the parking spaces???

California's new law prohibits both personal and commercial vehicles from parking or stopping within 20 feet of any marked or unmarked crosswalk anywhere in the state. The law applies to curbs whether they’re red striped or not.
