for months now, my phone has been randomly deactivating iMessage at least once a day every single day, which is causing fun bugs with Messages trying to convert iMessages to SMS texts that never get delivered even when the app says they do. neat!

An iOS error message: "iMessage is Signed Out. An error occurred and your account is signed out of iMessage. You may miss messages as a result. Please go to settings to address this issue."

A section of the iMessage settings in iOS saying that my phone has no addresses to send or receive messages from and that iMessage is waiting for activation.
