#portlandburgerweek S07E08 — “Shaanxi Classic”. drove all the way out to Lake Oswego for the season finale of Burger Week. it was overcooked, which is a shame for wagyu. toppings were good and had a good kick but overall an underwhelming finale. 2.5/5 (great brussels sprouts tho)

i tried to make nigiri for the first time for six people but my sushi rice, while seasoned perfectly, was WAY too sticky. so i made like five nigiri and then put the rest of the fish into chirashi bowls lol

y’all, this just dethroned Bar Maven as my number one. well seasoned patty cooked a perfect medium-rare, good quality bacon, elevated by the combination of blue cheese, grilled apple and pear butter. just killer. 4.5/5
