#portlandburgerweek S06E05, “Pulled Pork Torta”. probably my second favorite episode so far, behind Bar Maven. they started skimping on chicharron but that’s ok, i don’t think it was necessary. tastes like an elevated backyard cookout burger. i recommend adding the mustard sauce

#portlandburgerweek stop 4: EastBurn’s “Big Mike” (a take on the Big Mac). it’s better than a Big Mac but not as good as a Trick Dog. this would have been a good 3.5/5, but the fried pickles tasted more like a fryer than like pickles 😬 so, 3/5. skippable IMO

the irrational-but-probably-correct part of my brain worries that if i don’t really quickly scroll by the tweets from people i don’t follow, twitter will think i am reading and enjoy that content and show me even more “Liked By” tweets and shit

i’ve been doing #portlandburgerweek and i don’t know what should scare me more: the fact that i’m about to have had four burgers in the last two days, or the fact that my body feels no different than normal

#portlandburgerweek stop 3. corn relish was pretty good but i think they got a little lazy in assembling it by the time they got to mine. also, you’re not toasting the bun?? this one was hype for me but ended up only being ok. skippable

weather apps like @DarkSkyApp and @CARROT_app are gonna have to add smoke as a forecast/condition because y’all… this isn’t “clear”

#portlandburgerweek stop number two… was really good. nicely seasoned beef, the marionberry aioli made a great sweet/savory combo, and the kale slaw added just the right amount of crunch

i can no longer hear Simon & Garfunkel’s “The 59th Street Bridge Song” or the Bellamy Brothers’ “Let Your Love Flow” without thinking about The Leftovers
